SEARCH Crew Discipleship
The SEARCH Program is an intensive, full-summer, discipleship program for youth ages 14-15. SEARCH team members will have daily meetings with their leader, daily Bible study, scripture memorization, and awesome fellowship.
While they’re learning they’ll be serving. SEARCH members will have the opportunity to help out in almost every area of camp over the summer. This will give them the opportunity to experience many different work environments so they can see what they enjoy and what they are good at. They will have assignments as cabin helpers, kitchen and dining hall workers, maintenance, program assistant, helping at our wilderness camp, and assisting the nurse.
The SEARCH Crew is an accountability program between the Pastor (or Youth Pastor) of your church, the parent, the SEARCH member, the Camp Director and our Divisional Youth Department.
In addition to the summer activities, work and learning there is a year long commitment to do projects, read books, continue to be involved in church and more.
Last year there was a $35.00 weekly stipend paid to the participants each week. In addition, after completing the projects and other commitments throughout the year there was a $150.00 bonus that was paid to the SEARCH participants. We’re not sure what the stipend and bonus will be this year – but it should be similar.
To apply for the SEARCH team you need to be currently involved in church, willing to be at camp all summer (approximately June 16 – August 2, 2013), and fill out an application.
