Camp Facilities
Dining Hall: The dining hall at Camp Gifford accommodates over 200 people comfortably. The room mixes modern blue steel beams with a beautifully finished cedar ceiling. In the lower level of our dining hall are three meeting rooms, one with a kitchenette and two semi-private bedrooms.
The Pavilion: The Pavilion, overlooking Deer Lake, is our main meeting hall. It holds over 200 people in comfortably cushioned chairs. It boasts a 20 channel mixer with ample power to suit most every need; stage monitors; stage lights; EV professional speakers; a nice digital piano with full weighted keyboard; ceiling mounted projector and screen and more. It’s a beautiful place to hold you special event or retreat.
Recreation Room: Our recreation room is a great place for break-outs or just for fun. Recreational equipment includes: two pool tables, ping-pong table, two foosball tables, air hockey, tables for board games and room to relax.
Activities
Camp Gifford provides a wonderful location for you to enjoy the great outdoors and relax in its beauty. You will be able to enjoy many activities at Camp Gifford, including:
High and Low ropes courses
We have one of the most diverse collections of teambuilding exercises in the region. From the giant swing to the spider web, you’re sure to get an adrenaline rush, create memorable moments and grow during your time with these activities.
Swimming
Complete with beginner and advanced swimmer areas. Advanced swimmers have access to the diving board.- “Goliath” climbing tower
The 45ft, 3-sided climbing tower. Two sides are for climbing – one easy, one difficult. The third side is for rappelling down so you can do it all over again! Do you have what it takes to conquer the overhang? - Zip line
Our 670ft zip line extends the entire width of the meadow, providing for a beautiful and breathtaking ride! It’s a lot of fun for adults and it’s pretty exciting for kids.
Hiking
There are lots of hiking trails, short and long, around our property and around Deer Lake. We’ve got forest and wetlands trails (see “Discovery Zones” below) as well as longer hikes (two – six hours) with amazing views of Deer Lake.- The Meadow
Our meadow is over 40 acres and provides a great area for a game of Capture the Flag or other large group game. - Discovery Zones
There are many discovery zones around the property for educational fun with your group. We have self-guided hikes (Forest Walk and Wetlands Walk), and other ecosystems available for your use (waterfront and meadow).
We’re in the process of developing ready-to-use classroom’s in a box. Complete classes in a box that need no prior knowledge of subject matter (e.g., teach a complete class on “Beavers” even if you know absolutely nothing about them).
Boating
Paddle boats and canoes are available for the lake-faring. Take a relaxing trip in the sun on the peaceful waters of Deer Lake.
Mini-Golf
Recently built, the mini golf course bring out the PGA Pro in all of us!- Two large sports fields
The Ball Field” and “The Compound” provide acres of space for your sport events, water fights or other outdoor fun you can imagine.
Campfire auditorium
What camp would be complete without one? 100+ seating around a beautiful camp fire, complete with stage, electrical power and lighting.- Volleyball
Our volleyball court is filled with washed sand and ready to go. - Basketball court
1-on-1 or 5-on-5, it’s all ready for action.
