Hey everyone! We just wanted to let you know that Camp Gifford is doing everything in its power to ensure summer programs for the summer of 2021, whether it be traditional overnight residential camps or day camps. We will be working within the guidelines provided by the Washington Department of Health, the CDC, and other health standards as related to COVID-19. However, camp programs are still beholden to State laws, Rules and Regulations regarding Re-opening for 2021. Please contact your nearest representative to ensure State Lawmakers remember summer camps around the state and the remarkable impact they make every year!
Feel free to call or email with any questions you may have!
To invest in children.
Our summer camps are designed around the idea of inclusion. No one is turned away because of their circumstances. Under-served, from broken homes, in the foster care system, living in poverty, these are many of the at-risk children that come to our camp. Our camps are scholarship-based to financially support families in need. The costs involved are a significant and purposeful investment in youth.
To cultivate servant leadership.
We put young men and women in the right environment to grow as leaders. We provide hands on learning where young people are given the opportunity to design, implement, and supervise people and programs on a daily basis. This is all done in an intense community model that teaches authority through service.
To teach teamwork.
We offer experiential learning situations that teach valuable lessons on what it means to be part of a team.
To be the church.
The Salvation Army is mission driven to meet human needs in the name of Jesus Christ without discrimination. Our message is based on the bible and our ministry is motivated by the love of Jesus Christ for all humanity.
